The new block features that WordPress integrated made doing writing extraordinarily difficult. And on a selfish level, I look at the statistics around this blog and know that millions of people have clicked on the blog, read it, commented and many of you have subscribed. I’ve loved writing about A Song of Ice and Fire on here, loved all the interaction I’ve had with so many of you. It was not an easy decision to leave WordPress. Why choose SubStack? Because it is easier to write essays, analysis and theories as well as eventually promote my forthcoming book The Cautioner’s Tale.
